2011 Pig Hunt
Jason Baugh took me out on my first pig hunt to teach me different things on hunting, skinning, and harvesting the meat on my first pig hunt. It was a long morning with not much action but soon we jumped a big pig out of the brush. Jay took a quick shot and we found our selves quick on the move trying to track the wounded animal. "I think I hammered him Ty." That was all Jay said after his shot. We looked high and low for this dang pig but no where did he show up. So after about 45 minutes we hopped back in the truck to try one last spot before we headed home. As we parked the car I got out and looked up... there sat a perfect 80 pounder looking right at me. Jay quickly grabbed the riffle and offered to let me shoot him but with the property line close and the pig staring right at us I told Jay "No, just shoot him." Jay took him without hesitation.
Now, remember that first big boy pig that Jay shot out of the brush? A week after this hunt I went back up by myself to try my own luck on a pig hunt and I came across the big pig carcass that Jay shot dead no more than 200 yards from where we shot the 80 pounder.
