MAN BLOG

For the record this is a MAN BLOG no wives allowed... I love my wife more than anything but men need blogs too.

Night out with Copper at Joes

Copper and I scored some perfect Joe's this evening. I ordered my standard French Dip with Tri-Tip and a Makers on the rocks to soothe my throat. Frankie (our neighbor and Joe's bar tender) hooked us two men up big time. Copper shared my food and he also ate a napkin. We then ran into a milf that was way into Copper... I recognized her because Max Klett danced with at the Holister Ranch Hoe Down.
Goooood times.

Late Season Lobsters

My pops and I launched the little alluminum and took a cold water jump looking for some bugs... They were plentiful but most all were short. I am lucky to have walked away with 2 lobby's. Steak and Lobster at my parents house tonight. The secret Northern water always produce fine dinning.

Roll Play

I visited a friend of mine named Chris Hansen, you may know him from Dateline NBC hosting the show "To Catch A Preditor." I entered the door to find him and his beautiful wife in the act of roll play characterizing a late night show of cops. Lucky for me I was quick to snap this photo for proof of Mr. Hansen pursuing his wife for an attempt at his favorite take down move and arrest.

Skeet Shooting January 2012

Luke, Max and I headed out to Winchester Canyon Gun Club to do a little skeet shooting and beer drinking. You can't do one and not the other.

2011 Pig Hunt

Jason Baugh took me out on my first pig hunt to teach me different things on hunting, skinning, and harvesting the meat on my first pig hunt. It was a long morning with not much action but soon we jumped a big pig out of the brush. Jay took a quick shot and we found our selves quick on the move trying to track the wounded animal. "I think I hammered him Ty." That was all Jay said after his shot. We looked high and low for this dang pig but no where did he show up. So after about 45 minutes we hopped back in the truck to try one last spot before we headed home. As we parked the car I got out and looked up... there sat a perfect 80 pounder looking right at me. Jay quickly grabbed the riffle and offered to let me shoot him but with the property line close and the pig staring right at us I told Jay "No, just shoot him." Jay took him without hesitation.

Now, remember that first big boy pig that Jay shot out of the brush? A week after this hunt I went back up by myself to try my own luck on a pig hunt and I came across the big pig carcass that Jay shot dead no more than 200 yards from where we shot the 80 pounder.

2011 Dove Hunt

Me and Uncle D

Seth brought Dylan and me along for a Dove hunt in 2011. It was a long sunny day of shooting that ended with limits and a feast. We had a Dove BBQ the next evening with some of them being bacon wrapped and all of them being marinated in beer, terriaki, mustard, Italian dressing, garlic salt, pepper and some other random things in the fridge that made the evening more fun.

Slippery Rock

Today Copper and I hiked up to Slippery Rock for a history lesson and we also looked at wild life through the Binoculars.

Stardust Fishing Adventure

A few days before the close of Rock Fishing season Max and I headed out on the Stardust to sack a few deep water dwellers. Luke captained the ship and put us right on the pinnacles for optimum fish slaying. I highly recommend getting out on the Stardust next season if you want to bring home dinner for your family, neighbors and or any random people you run accross because you will definitely have enough fish to share with all. Thank you Luke, Sal, and Dane for an awsome day of fishing.

Gaviota Corridor

Here are just a few shots of the sunsets from Gaviota. I am so lucky to get to experience these all alone while also watching deer and coyotes through the binoculars. This is literally "my office, my gym, and best of all my place of serenity."
